This is a ground floor assessment facility.
Walk past the main entrances for Child Support and Jobcentre Plus to the end of Brendon House, following signs for the ‘Assessment Centre’. Turn left and continue around to the back of the building. The entrance to the Assessment Centre is the first door on the left.
Brendon House is located just off Upper High Street in Taunton town centre. There are limited spaces for Blue Badge holders at the Assessment Centre. The Orchard Street and Paul Street car parks are close by.

The closest bus stop is County Hall on Park Street. From Park Street, head down The Crescent to Upper High Street. The Jobcentre is on the left.
Taunton train station is approximately 1 mile from the Assessment Centre. Bus services run into the town centre near the Assessment Centre.

Due to severe weather conditions, we have made the decision to temporarily close six assessment centres until Monday 17th August. All other assessment centres remain open and appointments are continuing as planned.
The affected assessment centres are Aylesbury, Fareham, Salisbury, Southampton, Gloucester, and Frimley. All customers with appointments on 11th, 12th, 13th or 14th August have been contacted.
We are continuing to monitor the situation and will contact customers if there are any changes to their appointment.
