Our Functional Assessors, who are qualified healthcare professionals, carry out assessments for Veterans UK. These are to assess disability from an injury or illness which occurred while serving in the Armed Forces.
Veterans UK may ask for a review of previously accepted conditions or for new conditions to be assessed.
Our qualified Functional Assessor will discuss your conditions and the activities you are able to undertake in a typical day.
You can bring any additional medical evidence to your assessment. You may also bring a family member, friend or support worker to the assessment.
After your assessment, our Functional Assessor will write a report. This will provide advice to Veterans UK based on what you have told us.
Veterans UK assessors will use this report to help decide on any payable pension.
