Enter through the main entrance and proceed straight ahead, pass the X-Ray department and continue straight to Waiting Room C, turn right and go through the double doors, then continue halfway down the corridor to a desk staffed by a security guard.

By car

The Assessment Centre is within the Royal South Hants Hospital on Brinton’s Terrace. From the A33, take a left turn onto St Mary’s Road at the Charlotte Place roundabout and follow the signs to the hospital.

By public transport

By bus

Bus routes 20, U6C, U6H and U1N all stop on St Mary’s Road close to the RSH Hospital.

By train

Southampton train station is about 1 mile from the RSH Hospital. You can get the bus from the Park Walk (AH) stop on New Road in the city centre.

Due to severe weather conditions, face-to-face assessment appointments scheduled for Wednesday 24 June, Thursday 25 June, and Friday 26 June will be changed to telephone appointments where appropriate, or rescheduled.

If your appointment is affected, we will contact you directly. Please do not attend your assessment centre unless you have been advised to do so.
